Freedom Network Medal Of Valour:

Plot Summary: A lot of people are getting sick.. Kyle recruits some local teenagers to help steal medicine from a highly guarded Lizard Medical Depot.. They get away successfully, but the medicine is fake.. A girl falls in love with Willie, but he has to tell her that he’s really a Lizard.. In the end she decides he’s an okay guy.. Meanwhile, Diana gets herself and Lydia off the hook by framing the pharmacist that sold Lydia the cat poison.. Phillip declares that the murderer must be buried with the murdered, so they stick the woman in the box with Charles’ body..

Plot: Away from Los Angeles in rural Lassen Valley, Willie and Elizabeth are chased in their van, which is also carrying a hurt man, by a Visitor laser jeep.. As they near a bridge, Kyle jumps out from behind cover and shoots the jeep off the road.. Jumping inside the van, the three hurry to reach Julie.. They arrive at a ranch – style house, where Julie is caring for the victims of a diphtheria epidemic that has spread throughout their valley.. As they enter, she is covering a victim with a blanket – one man who didn’t survive the plague.. Julie prescribes ampicillin for the man from the van, only to be told that their supply of the drug is gone.. The Resistance leader is told that the Visitors have a supply at their medical storehouse in town, but there are not enough people to raid the facility.. Kyle suggests that they radio Mike, still in LA to lead a refinery raid, but Julie worries that Mike will not be able to reach the valley in time.. When a townswoman suggests the Wildcats, a group of wild kids living in the hills that cannot be trusted, Kyle decides to approach them, and he leaves with Willie..

As they drive through Widows Canyon, Willie and Kyle hear howling, and are stopped by a bunch of teenagers driving various cars and a dune buggy.. They’re the Wildcats.. The Wildacts are a brash and ragtag group led by a teenager named Tony.. They are initially hostile and distrusting of the newcomers, so Kyle slashes his hand to prove that he bleeds red.. After slashing his hand to prove that he’s not a Visitor, Kyle explains about the diphtheria plague and plan to raid the Visitor storehouse.. The Wildcats agree to listen to the Resistance plan..

On the Mothership, Philip is ready to wrap up his investigation of the murder of Charles.. Philip reminds Diana and Lydia of their galactic law – when a Supreme Commander is murdered, his murderer is to be buried with him, and if no murderer can be found, all suspects are judged guilty and accompany the Supreme Commander on his final journey.. Charles’ burial is set for the next day.. Diana and Lydia argue over who is to blame.. The two rivals eventually concede that they must cooperate to save themselves.. Otherwise, Marta’s admission about selling the poison will damn both Lydia ( For buying it ) and Diana ( For using it ).. Diana suggests they need a sacrificial lamb, and Marta is the perfect candidate..

Philip is ready to wrap up his investigation of the murder of Charles.. After further analysis of the finger prints on the poison bottle used to kill the Supreme Commander, it is revealed they belong to Marta, the ship’s pharmacist.. When Philip questions her, she admits that she sold the cat poison to Lydia, so of course her prints would be on the vial.. Until the matter can be finally resolved, Philip places Diana and Lydia under house arrest on the eve of Charles’s burial.. If the true assassin cannot be determined before the ceremony, Visitor law dictates that all suspects are to be presumed guilty.. Diana and Lydia are expectedly nervous about that prospect..

Kyle leads the raid on the Visitor medical storehouse.. Sending Willie in with an ampicillin request, Kyle and the Wildcats wait at the side of the building.. While waiting, Kyle talks with one of the Wildcats, Ellen.. He learns that she and her brother, Tony, had returned home from school to find their parents taken by the Visitors.. The other Wildcats had similar situations: Bart lost his parents, and Andy lost his parents and little brother.. The ampicillin is loaded into Willie’s van, but Kyle notices guards readying on the roof and warns the others of an ambush.. After a brief firefight, both the Resistance members and the Wildcats manage to escape..

Back on the Mothership, Marta denies any involvement with Charles’ murder, and points out that her fingerprints were on the poison because she is the ships pharmacist.. She insists that she admired Charles from afar but had no other interest in him..

At the ranch, the Wildcats and Resistance are in the midst of a celebration, when Juliet discovers that they were given baking powder instead of ampicillin.. Apparently the Visitors were tipped off about the raid, and that means there is a spy among the rebels.. But they don’t have time to figure out who it might be – getting ampicillin to the local people is more important.. While the Wildcats all deny it, Kyle and Julie decide to radio Mike for help in LA about their situation, and Mike agrees to find a local supply of the drug and fly it to Lassen Valley himself.. Kyle agrees to radio him later with the specifics..

Lt. James reports to Philip that Juliet has been spotted, and obtains permission to go after her.. His spy informs him of the Resistance plan to have Donovan meet them at an airstrip.. Meanwhile, Diana and Lydia decide to work together to save their lives.. Diana tells Lydia that she will handle the specifics while Lydia takes care of their guards..

The Wildcats and Resistance agree to meet at an abandoned airstrip.. While waiting for the others to arrive, Ellen flirts with Willie and takes his hand.. Willie is obviously flustered, but they are interrupted by the arrival of Tony, Andy and the other Resistance members.. Tony and Kyle continue to snipe at each other, and Julie separates them.. As they leave to clear the rocks and debris from the runway, Tony notices that Bart is not with them – but he arrives a moment later..

On the Mothership,  Marta is brought before Philip on trial for the murder of Charles, to confront her accusers, Diana and Lydia, where she insists on her innocent.. But Philip plays a holovideo found in Marta’s quarters ( Planted there by Diana ) that makes it quite obvious the woman had a deadly obsession with Charles, where she states her love of Charles, and that he must die if she cannot have him.. Marta insists she is being framed, but the evidence seems concrete.. Philip pronounces her guilty and sentences her to spend eternity in Charles’s sarcophagus.. Diana and Lydia exchange pleased smiles..

Back in the valley, the Resistance van runs into a Visitor roadblock.. While Kyle, Julie, Bart, and Tony provide covering fire, the others flee into the woods.. They all agree to meet at the Wildcats camp.. In the woods, Willie sees that Ellen has been captured and and carried away.. Using a tree as a screen, he says something in his mother tongue to the Visitor carrying her; thus distracted, Willie is able to knock him out using a tree branch.. Ellen kisses Willie, and confesses that she is falling in love with him.. Willie tries to tell her the truth about himself, but Tony arrives in his dune buggy before he can do so.. At the roadblock, Lt. James isn’t worried that the rebels got away, because he knows they’ll have to return to the airstrip and meet Mike’s plane.. He doesn’t know when Mike will arrive, but he’s confident the spy will provide that bit of information in due time..

Back at the Wildcat camp, Ellen tries to get close to Willie and gives him a necklace that had belonged to her Grandmother, who had told Ellen to give it to the man she loves.. Willie tries to explain that he’s not like other men, but Ellen doesn’t get the hint.. So Willie reveals that he is indeed a Visitor, and even tears part of his skin to prove it.. Confused and afraid, Ellen runs away.. Willie tells Tony and the other Wildcats that Ellen has disappeared, but they see that Willie is a Visitor and prepare to shoot him.. Julie, Kyle, and Elizabeth show up just in time to calm the situation.. Elizabeth uses her psychic powers to locate Ellen, and the the group takes off to rescue her.. One Wildcat, Andy, stays behind in case Ellen returns on her own..

Diana goes to visit Oswald, who is preparing Marta’s body for Charles’ funeral.. Diana insists that Oswald ensure that Marta be alive and conscious during the ceremony.. Although Oswald has never prepared a funeral for somebody already living, he can hardly argue with Diana..

Juliet radios Mike, already in flight, to warn him about their spy.. Mike refuses to turn back, and informs Julie that he will be arriving at 6am.. Julie agrees to try to provide him with ground cover.. In an equipment shed, Bart and Tony are startled when Willie runs in to inform them that Ellen is missing.. They pull their guns on Willie who raises his hands in surrender, and Bart and Tony then see the Visitors skin revealed.. Believing Willie is a Visitor spy, they begin questioning him about Ellen.. As Tony raises his gun to hit Willie, the others in the group arrive..

Elizabeth begins to sense that Ellen is trapped by a fall that she has taken.. When Tony doesn’t believe her, he raises his gun in their direction, and Elizabeth uses her powers to knock the three Wildcats backwards into some crates.. They all agree to go with Elizabeth to find Ellen, leaving Andy behind at the shed in case Ellen returns.. En route, Julie realizes she’s forgotten her medical bag, so she returns to the Wildcat camp and discovers Andy is communicating with James and reporting Mike’s arrival time at the landing strip.. Caught red – handed, Andy confesses that his brother is under arrest and has the plague; the Visitors promised treatment and safe release if Andy provided them with information.. Julie admonishes him for selling out his friends, then ties him up..

Elizabeth leads the others to a ravine, where Ellen is trapped.. Elizabeth tells Ellen to concentrate and think about being free, and the group watches in amazement as Ellen, uninjured, is levitated up and out of the ravine.. Elizabeth collapses into Kyle’s arms from the strain..

Back at the camp, the Wildcats have a hard time believing that Andy is the traitor, but are finally forced to, when Andy doesn’t deny the allegation..  Leaving Andy tied and gagged, they don’t have long until Mike’s arrival, so they need to figure out some way to outsmart the ambush awaiting them..

The next morning, Kyle and Willie separate from the main group to take out some of the Visitors in a sneak attack.. Andy, meanwhile, manages to struggle free of his bonds and jumps into his car.. At the airstrip, a group of Visitors arrive and begin firing.. While Tony and Bart return fire, Julie and Ellen circle behind the Visitors and take out the remainder.. Thinking this is the complete Visitor force, they are shocked to see two more jeeps, a car and a Visitor van all heading towards them.. Noting that Mike’s plane is already in descent, they have to fight even though they are vastly outnumbered.. However, Andy’s car suddenly appears on the road and he heads straight for the Visitor vehicles, smashing head on and obliterating them..

Mike parachutes out of the plane, leaving the remaining Visitors to chase it.. The Resistance and the Wildcats rush to meet him, while Kyle and Tony shake hands and Ellen apologizes to Willie, telling him that he will always be family to her..

Back on the Mothership, in an elaborate ceremony, Marta awakens during Charles’ funeral service to find herself sharing a double – sized glass sarcophagus with his rotting corpse.. Marta beats on the walls of sarcophagus, but her screams of terror cannot be heard as the coffin is sent into space..

Blooper Details: When they discover Marta’s ” fingerprints “ on the bottle of cat poison and show a picture of her on the computer screen, she’s in her natural Visitor state.. No one recognizes her.. Then, when they say ” zoom in,” they add her human disguise and instantly it becomes clear who she is.. Other than making things clearer for the viewing audience, what’s with that? They should have recognized her in her true Visitor state.. Then again, I suppose they can argue they all look alike..

During the ambush, Kyle’s bullet hits the Visitor vehicle ( Sparks are seen from the shot ) yet the Visitor behind the vehicle falls dead..

During the final shoot – out, Tony, Julie and the others kill a heap of Visitors, yet when the Visitors are shown returning fire there are always the same amount of them!

Why doesn’t Elizabeth ever have a gun?!!!

When Andy’s car collides with the lead Visitor vehicle, the two cars are still obviously quite a distance apart! Also, at least four Visitor vehicles are shown heading down the road towards the airstrip.. Assuming Andy took out the two lead vehicles, that would still leave one car and one van full of Visitors heading their way!

Two guards escort Charles’ sarcophagus to a portal, where it is sucked out into the vacuum of space.. Since the guards are standing directly beside the sarcophagus, why is it that they are not sucked into space as well?

When the Wildcats and Kyle ambush the Visitor Medical Centre, the explosions from the grenades thrown are nowhere near the locations that the grenades actually fall..

Trivia: Visitor Galactic Law dictates that in the event a Supreme Commander is killed by an assassin, the murderer is to be buried with him.. And if the murderer cannot be found, then all suspects shall be judged guilty and accompany the deceased on his eternal voyage..
