Aloha all Veeks.. Just want to let all the fans know what is happening with the website lately.. I’ve received a fair few emails in the past few days from fans, letting me know that the website is down.. The reason for this is, the current website host are saying that they can’t handle what has been happening lately with updates of the website.. I’ve been trying to upload the first gallery for V: The Original Mini – Series ” Part One,” but have had nothing but issues.. It ends up crashing the website or the complain that the website is hogging the shared server..
So, I am currently looking into swapping hosts to a company that can handle the updates and increasing size of the website.. This might cause the website and forums to go down for a few days, but don’t worry, The V Files will be back up as soon as possible..
Once the website has moved over to the new host, I’ll be working on getting more of the Episode Guides up.. This will include all the information you will ever want to know about each episode.. Screen shots, videos, .mp3′s, and a lot more for each, including the most detailed Episode Guide you will ever find.. I’ll also get around to add images for Novels, Comics, Cards, Toys, Props and a hell of a lot more..
So please bare with me over the next week.. Hopefully I can start working on the change over in the next few days.. And stay tuned for a bigger and better website..
Also, please leave comments of what you’d like to see on the website.. As mentioned, there are a lot of pics and info waiting to be added, which I will be doing as soon as I transfer hosts.. But let me know, as I might not have thought of it, or can let you know what is planned for it..

Back in March, The V Files broke the news about Jane Badler’s role in the Aussie soap ” Neighbours..” She will join the long – running soap, as ” super – bitch “ Diana Marshall, for a six week episode arc.. Badler has finished filming her part and Australian fans will be able to watch her cause havoc on Ramsey Street from in a couple of weeks, starting Tuesday 22nd June 2010.. Those in the UK will have to wait until later in the year..

Jane is also not a stranger to Aussie soap opera, starring in an episode of ” Blue Heelers “ as Kath Shepherd in 2002..

Today the writers of V: The New Series have gone back to working on new stories and scripts in their first day back writing.. They are starting to write for the upcoming Season Two, working out where the characters are going, introducing new characters ( Hopefully we will see some of the Original cast making an appearance ) and creating on more great episodes.. The later of Season One got better and better each episode, with the time they now have before having to go into shooting, it will allow writers the time and freedom to create even more exciting episodes instead of feeling rushed as they did in Season One..

Though Kenny receives a ” Created by “ credit on the new, reimagined, ABC V series because it is derived from his original work, he is not involved with the series.. He wishes the latest new producers well with the show, which does not affect Kenny’s ongoing efforts to remake his original classic as a major motion picture..
Kenny’s prime desire is to bring big – screen production values to the new V movie while carefully protecting the timeless story, the characters, quality, integrity and substance that make his original V such a favorite of worldwide audiences and a critically acclaimed, international landmark..
Efforts by Kenny and his producing partners to make the right deal for the movie are proceeding well and on a daily basis.. Meetings are currently ongoing..
A personal note from Kenny..
I know it’s difficult and frustrating for the many great fans of V to keep hearing how we’re working hard to get the financing in order – while it all seems to be taking forever..
Believe me, I sympathize.. No one wants to be on the set of V more than I do.. But the world economy is in the worst place it’s been for years and $50 million is a very large amount for an ” independent “ film – even for one with such a potent, fondly remembered, international Brand Name like V..
Please have faith that my excellent team and I are making the most strenuous efforts.. We have dedicated countless hours, weeks and months to conversations with potential investors.. It’s a delicate, time consuming process to weed out truth from fiction about their ability to actually provide the funding we need.. But we are determined to make it happen..
The situation is promising, but I don’t engage in hype.. I believe in being straight with people – particularly the loyal fans of V.. The moment that a solid deal is in place our friends everywhere will immediately be given the word on this site.. Meanwhile, please hold good thoughts..

Great news for V fans!! Although it has not yet been made by ABC, according to TheHollywoodReporter and Deadline.com, V: The New Series has been picked up for a Second Season.. Although Season One was plagued by odd scheduling and behind – the – scenes shifts, ABC has seen enough from V to order a second season of the sci – fi drama..
V: The New Series premiered Tuesday 3rd November 2009 to big numbers, with a 5.2 rating in the 18 – 49 demographic and 14.3 million total viewers.. At the time, it was the highest rated debut of the 2009 – 10 season.. Unfortunately, a large percentage of those viewers didn’t return for the second week.. Episode two brought in a 3.8 rating and 10.7 million.. Week three dropped yet again, to a 3.1 rating and 9.26 million viewers.. Thankfully, the ratings decline leveled out from there, before taking a lengthy, planned, hiatus before its return in March 2010..
When V returned, the show’s ratings were understandably lower than they had been.. Still, the drop could have been far worse than it was – attracting a 2.8 rating and 7.03 million viewers.. The numbers later slipped to a low of a 1.9 rating and 4.87 million..
But now, in the final weeks of the season, V is starting to show a little growth.. Last week’s brought a 2.1 rating and 5.37 million viewers.. The show’s penultimate episode rose 14% in the ratings, and attracted a 2.3 rating and 5.69 million viewers.. These increases seem to mirror the growth in its lead – in’s viewership ( LOST ) but they are increases nonetheless..
V: The New Series – Season Two will most likely return for a mid – season replacement in January 2011 ( Though we could be lucky enough to get it in November again like the premier ), and it’s been all but confirmed that Season Two will contain thirteen ( 13 ) episodes, one more than the first season has.. Seeing as how Executive Producer and Showrunner, Scott Rosenbaum, was sure of a second season in the future, this is no surprise.. If the series holds a good rating over the thirteen ( 13 ) episodes, ABC will most likely call for a back nine ( 9 ) episodes, which will in turn give Season Two the regular twenty – two ( 22 ) episodes for the season..
V showrunner Scott Rosenbaum confirmed the pickup, thanking the show’s fans via Twitter..
ABC’s full schedule will be announced their Fall 2010 schedules on Tuesday 18th May during the network’s upfronts presentation to advertisers.. We will update with an Official Press Release or announcement once available..

Jane Badler ( Diana ) has yet to be given the nod for V: The New Series, but we all know that it is on the cards, but until then she is going to make an appearance in one of Australia’s biggest drama TV series.. Jane has just landed herself a Guest Star role in Neighbours, which she’ll begin filming next week.. Her role on Neighbours is suppose to be a six week run, so fans of the show will get to see Jane in action, though I believe the UK is something like six months behind Australia..
Her role in Neighbours has a familiarity to it.. Jane will be playing ” Diana..” No not that Diana, but Jane will be playing Diana Marshall, who will be a bad girl.. Jane’s episodes will be aired late June in Australia and towards the end of the year for the UK..
Neighbours is one of the longest running TV series.. It was first aired on the 18th March 1985 and just celebrated it’s 25th Anniversary, which was Episode 5884..

Cast and Crew are heading back to the set next week when they start back in Production on the 4th January 2010 for the remainder of Season One.. Production will not halt for the rest of the season, which is slated to comprise of twelve episodes.. So when the show resumes on 30th March 2010, we’ll get to watch the show until the season finale on 18th May 2010.. There has been more crew staff added to the Production team recently which will give us a new feel to the series..
Episode 1.05 will air on ABC on the 30th March 2010 for the beginning of the second ” Pod..” The second ” Pod ” will most likely 4 episodes and then be followed by the third and last ” Pod ” to end Season One.. Thus giving the 12 episodes lined up for Season One, as they are now doing 12 episodes instead of 13, like was planned at the beginning..
